THIS WEEK'S WORD: PARADE

Seems that much of what the Armed Forces do is hugely symbolic. If a man or woman can shine shoes in a disciplined way, they can fight in a disciplined way.

Here I was imagining that an army parade contains hidden meaning. Soldiers are instructed to march using angles from years when victory was theirs...as if they have to drum a positive outcome into their bodies.

Here we have 1918 (WW1), 1945 (WW2), 1982 (The Falklands War) & 1991 (The First Gulf War).
